Singer/actor Rain (real name Chung Ji-hoon) has chosen his next role in a television series. He will play "Kang Bok-ku" in a new Monday-Tuesday KBS TV2 series that is to premiere in early November. It will be Rain's third collaboration with KBS following his previous lead roles in "Let's Go, Sangdoo" and "Full House."

The new series is another work by scriptwriter Lee Kyung-hee, who also wrote the popular KBS series "Sorry, I Love You" and Rain's debut series "Let's Go, Sangdoo" (2003). The series is being produced by Kim Kyu-tae, who recently received much acclaim for the Drama City production "Blue Nights on Jeju Island."

Rain's new character, Kang Bok-ku, is a martial artist with a strong personality, who falls in love with a woman he should not love, but challenges fate for the sake of the relationship.

Rain was set to make a comeback as an actor earlier this year by starring in the series "Evil Love," but the production was cancelled.
